80s-themed Electric Diner opens second restaurant in Hamilton

A Hamilton restaurant that offers delicious comfort food and 80s nostalgia is planning to open a second location in a prime spot in town.

Electric Diner has become a must-see attraction in Hess Village for its menu of restaurant-style bites like burgers, breakfast platters, sandwiches and more; all served in a vibrant setting with neon lighting and vibes straight out of Miami Vice.

The popularity has grown enough that the restaurant is in the early stages of opening a new location within Lister Block, on the corner of James North and King William Street, in the long-empty food court space that once housed Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill & Bar.

In addition to being a partner establishment that will allow Electric Diner to expand its operations and capacity, owners Erika Puckering and Jamie Ewing also plan for Lister Block Restaurant to offer a higher dining experience than the original location of HessVillage.

For Electric Diner to settle in this heritage space, the city council must still give the green light to the project after a unanimous vote of the general questions committee.

However, if all goes well, Hamilton could expect to see this intriguing new branch of Electric Diner open in the fall of 2022!
