CCTV footage captures build-up to Noida Lost Lemons Bar fight that left 1 dead

Police said Brijesh went to the resto-bar with his friends for a party

New Delhi:

A heated argument over the bill, the flash of a moving camera and the first shot – CCTV footage of Lost Lemons resto-bar in Noida captures the buildup of the shocking assault incident which caused Brijesh’s death Ray, 30 years old.

A video clip at the entrance to the resto-bar at Noida’s Gardens Galleria mall shows people arguing. Some of the men are seen wearing jackets and blazers of the same color, indicating that they are staff members.

As the argument continues, a man captures the events on his phone. Then there is a camera flash and the alleged staff members corner the man with the phone.

He responds by pushing one of them and the first blow lands on his head. What follows is a fight between the two sides as others join in.

The video shows the alleged staff members grabbing a man by his clothes and pushing him to the ground while beating him. However, it’s unclear if the man is Brijesh as the fight fades away from the camera.

While eight bar workers were arrested, a representative for the owner claimed those involved in the fight did not work with them. One of the accused is on the run.

Police said Brijesh went to the resto-bar with his friends for a party. They were charged around Rs 7,400 and they objected to the overcharging. This led to the argument which escalated into a fight, they said.

Brijesh is survived by his wife Pooja, a teacher, and two children aged five and three.

The autopsy revealed a head injury and a ruptured spleen as factors leading to his death.

His wife said he was not taken to hospital in time and said they caused trouble for Brijesh.

In a video that has gone viral, she is seen telling Brijesh’s friends: “Honestly, I’ve always been against friends like all of you. Friends who get beaten up and pass out. Today the same friends got killed and now you’re showing you’re part of the family. Families aren’t like that, neither are friends.”
