Reports suggest that Elon Musk’s EV company Tesla Inc is planning to open a Tesla 24×7 restaurant in Hollywood. On Thursday, May 19, automaker EV handed over documents related to the city of Los Angeles. Reports last week suggested the restaurant would be established at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood.

The news comes four years after a Tweeter from Tesla CEO Musk regarding a “roller skate and rock restaurant”. Moreover, it would also serve as a crucial charging station for electric vehicles. In the tweet, Musk explained how he would be setting up an “old school drive-in, roller-skating, and rocking restaurant” in Los Angeles, which is one of the newest “Tesla Supercharger locations.”

Reports cite a report by Electrek, stating that the restaurant would be housed in a 9,300 square foot space. This would include plans for a move-in cinema with drive-thru, as well as a 28-station booster station for vehicles. Architectural plans shared by the EV company indicate a two-story restaurant that would have a seating capacity of 200, both indoors and outdoors. Fascinatingly, food would be served in cars and the outdoor seats would have a direct view of two cinema screens, which would be visible on the roof. The proposed locations are currently occupied by Shakey’s Pizza Parlor which is still operational.

About a year ago, Tesla Inc filed applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the “T” logo. It would be a range of restaurant concepts, which would include self-service and take-out. Moreover, reports state that no further details about internal aspects such as menus and its opening date are yet available.

However, the futuristic restaurant still has a significant hurdle to overcome. Approval from the city of Los Angeles must arrive for the Hollywood Supercharger restaurant to truly become what Musk aspires it to be.

Much earlier, Musk had taken to Twitter to clarify that the concept would be old-school, drive-in, as well as the supply of roller skates. In February this year, he added that the restaurant/drive-thru would be incredibly futuristic and clarified that customers entering could pay via Dogecoin.

And, of course, you can pay in Ðoge
