“I had booked cricket tickets for the whole weekend in Leeds. I live 20 mins away but due to lack of parking/park & ride/buses not being safe for women at night , I must have spent over £400 on a hotel for the weekend.
“If trains were running, the cost would be less than a ten and it would consist of two trains which would take around 40 minutes.
“I think people who were planning to go cricket will be put off either by the lack of transport links and/or the extra cost of everything, which is a shame.”
