Delhi 6 at Ocean Road was named Best North East Asian Restaurant at the Asian Curry Awards, which took place at Grosvenor House in central London on Monday, November 22.
Indian Street food restaurant opened in September 2018 and has already won awards, having already been named Best New Restaurant at the English Curry Awards in 2019.
The restaurant is owned by Shah Lalon Amin, who took over the same premises where his father ran an Indian restaurant more than 30 years ago.
Delhi 6 has bumped into some of the best restaurants in the area and Lalon is thrilled to win the award.
He said: âI am absolutely delighted and honored to announce that Delhi 6 has won the coveted Best Asian Restaurant in North East England award at the prestigious Asian Curry Awards at Grosvenor House in central London.

The Asian Curry Awards, launched in 2010, are designed to recognize the best in the business and are organized by the Asian Catering Federation and the Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers UK, which represent 35,000 restaurants and takeaways in the UK.
To commemorate the awarding of the prize, Delhi 6 will soon be organizing festive evenings at the restaurant.
