The Taj Mahal also offers a children’s menu.

1. At Kalahandji

Kalahandji’s is located inside the Hare Krishna Temple at 5430 Gurley Avenue in downtown Dallas and has been a staple in the city for nearly 40 years. The atmosphere of the restaurant is serene and the decor is traditional rustic Indian style with a giant tree in the center. Kalahandji’s serves a fusion of authentic traditional Indian Ayuvedic cuisines. The menu is entirely vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. There is no meat, fish, egg, onion or garlic in the dishes. The menu changes daily, but there is always soup, rice dishes, vegetable curries and Pakora on the menu. The vegetables in the dishes are always fresh. That of Kalahandji is not very expensive. They also have a nice community room for private parties.
